Job Description

  • teaching all areas of educational activities and achieve the desired learning outcomes
  • labeling and organizing materials in the teaching room, such as pens and paper etc
  • taking responsibility for the organization, neatness and careful handling of materials
  • organizing the room and learning resources and creating displays to encourage a positive environment as needed
  • Maintains  room materials and work area for the purpose of ensuring availability of a safe learning environment
  • planning, preparing and presenting educational activity that cater for the needs of the whole ability range of the children
  • motivating children with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
  • facilitate positive children development
  • meeting requirements for the progress and reporting of children’ development
  • coordinating activities and resources within a specific area of the task assigned, and supporting  other staff  in the delivery of this specialist area
  • working with others to plan and coordinate work
  • keeping up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the learning process
  • organizing and taking part in activities outdoors and in the gym

 Performance Responsibilities:

  •  In all aspects of daily programming including, but not necessarily limited to: social, academic, behavioral and self-help growth and development
  • Assists in the direct supervision of the children in the assigned program as directed by the  administrator
  • Demonstrates understanding of children’s disabilities
  • Participates in physical activities which are part of the children’s basic program
  • Assists the children in the restroom as necessary
  • Demonstrates flexibility in schedule and activities throughout the day
  • Demonstrates cooperation, openness for growth and willingness to contribute in a team approach
  • Communicates, collaborates, and cooperates with others, supervisors, and children
  • Performs other duties as may be directed by other staff or administrator
